If you’re reading this, you probably already have a Weber grill. But how about a smoker? You probably want one. A standalone smoker is not a small investment, and if you already have the kettle grill, spending additional money is not the best option. Luckily, you the Smokenator Smoker for the Weber Kettle Grill series exists to help you the whole ordeal.

But how can you be sure that this product is a great substitution for a full-fledged smoker? You can’t just take our word for it, of course. In order to present the Smokenator Smoker, we’ve created this short review. After reading it, you’ll fully understand its features, pros and cons, and you’ll be able to decide for yourself if the product is worth buying or not.

Smokenator Overview

First, we should point out that the Smokenator is not actually a cooker. In reality, it’s an accessory for charcoal kettles; the Smokenator is a special accessory made for that particular grill. It’s great for people who want to smoke their food, without spending a ton of money.

If you don’t have enough money, or if you simply don’t want to spend extra money on a standalone smoker, this is the perfect solution for you. This product allows you to transform your Weber kettle into a full-blown smoker capable of making restaurant-quality salmon, turkey or smoked ribs.

Main Features

Easy-to-Clean Materials
Not only does the Smokenator transform your kettle grill into a smoker, but it’s actually easier to use and clean than a traditional vertical smoker. It’s made of 18-gauge sheet stainless steel that won’t rust no matter how much you use it.

The Water Pan
Just like a regular smoker, the Smokenator comes with a water pan. It stabilizes the temperature and minimizes fluctuations. While most water pans aren’t really made for making gravy, due to the material this pan is made of, your gravy will remain clean after the smoking.

The best thing about the Smokenator is its versatility. Essentially, the Smokenator works with all meats, although it works best with turkey and chicken by keeping them moist.

How Does the Smokenator Work

The Smokenator Smoker for the Weber Kettle Grill is actually pretty easy to install and use. Especially if you already know your way around a charcoal kettle grill. It’s specifically designed to conform to the size you purchase. It doesn’t even need any bolts or tools.

Once the charcoal in your kettle grill is hot and the meat is on it, you just have to put the lid on, adjust the damper and you’re done. You don’t even have to watch-over it closely. The Smokenator will pump the aromatic smoke out for a few hours (up to 6!) at a slow temperature.

Pros and Cons

· Eliminates the need to purchase a separate smoker
· It’s pretty easy to install and use

· Maintaining the minimum heat may be difficult at first
· Keeping a good flow of smoke for a few hours may be challenging

The Bottom Line

When it’s all said and done, the Smokenato is a great product for anyone who wants to learn the basics of the so-called “low and slow smoking.” If you purchase the Smokenator, you’ll also be able to learn how to take care of your smoke setup and get really good at temperature management. With the Smokenator, you definitely won’t be disappointed.

My dad is a true mans man, and has owned a number of grills. Ranging from gas to charcoal. Growing up with him allowed me to see what different types of rubs, spices, brines, etc went into making the best BBQ. Although my dad was a truck driver, and I had a degree in Information Technology I knew that I wanted to do something about grilling and our recipes.  That’s where Barbeque Smoked comes in.
